What is the Fall Risk Screening & Conditioning Program?
The Fall Risk Screening & Conditioning Program is a six-week comprehensive program to identify and modify the factors causing an individual to be "at risk" for falling.
Consisting of a pre and post evaluation and ten 50-minute personal training sessions, the Fall Risk Program aims to address and improve areas of weakness such as strength, balance, walking speed, step length, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance through a comprehensive evaluation including:
- A self-assessment
- An assessment of modifiable fall risk factors
- An objective evaluation
- Cognitive and educational training
- A targeted exercise prescription
How do I get started?
Get a referral
A physical or occupational therapist will determine if you are a candidate for the Fall Risk Program. If you are currently enrolled in physical or occupational therapy at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, let your therapist know that you are interested in participating in the Fall Risk Program.
If you are not currently enrolled in physical or occupational therapy, please see your physician to obtain a prescription for physical or occupational therapy at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
How much does it cost?
There is a cost for the Fall Risk Program.

Individuals may sign up for a one time fall risk screening.
