Sailing with the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Program

RIC Sports refers individuals interested in sailing to the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Program (JGASP). Founded in 1990 the program welcomes approximately one thousand disabled sailors each year and helps them develop new skills and gain confidence and self-esteem through sailing.

You too can feel the exhilaration of being on the water!  

The goal of the program is to offer persons with disabilities the opportunity to "take the helm" on boats specifically designed for crews with disabilities.

What Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing offers…

• Well maintained and safe boars designed especially for those with disabilities.  The fleet includes eight, doublehanded Freedom Independence 20-foot sailboats, nine triplehanded Sonars, and four singlehanded 2.4 meter sailboats.
• The Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Program has an active racing program with a series of races during the summer.
