The Wirtz Sports Program

RIC Cubs wheelchair softball Caring for Kids RIC adapted golf program

The Wirtz Sports Program offers many recreational and competitive opportunities, from wheelchair softball and rugby to adapted golf.

If there is a program or sport you are interested in that you do not see listed, please contact us at sports@ric.org and let us know. We are constantly looking to expand the options available to recreational and competitive athletes with disabilities.

Who can participate

Our programs are available to anyone who has a physical disability.

The RIC Adaptive Sports and Fitness Program require that participants keep a completed medical form on file with the sports and fitness office.

We aim to provide sports opportunities to people with physical disabilities of all ages. In some cases there are age requirements. Please refer to the page of the specific sport or activity for more information. To become a member of the Galvin Health and Fitness Center or to join one of the many sports opportunities, please refer to the membership page or call us at 312-238-5001.

Because of generous philanthropic support we are able to provide many of our programs and services free of charge or for a nominal fee.
