Educational Seminars and Grand Rounds

Educational seminars for RIC employees are geared towards the ethical dilemmas that healthcare providers and researchers face. DEP also hosts quarterly Grand Rounds at the RIC Superior Street Hospital.

Hospital Ethics Committee

RIC's Hospital Ethics Committee is a multi-disciplinary body that focuses on organizational, policy-oriented and clinical ethics issues.

Schwartz Center Rounds®

RIC will begin conducting Schwartz Center Rounds® in 2012 aimed at promoting communication and care-giving in line with the mission of the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare. See http://www.theschwartzcenter.org/

Film Series

DEP's film series explores various representations of disability and raises awareness about different topics related to disability ethics.

Research and Publications

Staff members engage in empirical and theoretical research and publish articles in various venues. DEP strives to promote thoughtful examination of the moral questions surrounding disability.
