Study Objective

The purpose of this study is to examine the respective roles of volitional movement planning, intrinsic joint properties, and reflex behaviors originating from the hip joint in mediating gait abnormalities after stroke.

Who Can Participate
  • Age greater than 18 years
  • Unilateral Stroke
  • Within 12 months post-injury
  • Demonstration of hemiparesis (e.g. motor dysfunction in lower limb)
  • “stiff-legged” gait pattern
