Study Objective

The objective of this 2 year study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a Physical Activity Promotion program in patients with arthritis compared to their usual physician counseling on physical activity and focusing on improving the following three areas: arthritis-specific and generic health-related quality of life; function and cardiac fitness; physical activity performance.

Who Can Participate

Anyone who is currently seeing a participating physician at the RIC Arthritis Center, Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation (NMFF) Department of Rheumatology or NMFF Department of General Internal Medicine and who has Rheumatoid Arthritis or Knee Osteoarthritis may participate. 

 

* Please note that certain eligibility criteria must be met for participation in this 2 year study.
