Study Objective

The purpose of this study is to determine the relative roles of sensory information from the hip joint and from the load on the limb in contributing to altered muscle activity during walking after stroke.

Who Can Participate
  • Age greater than 18 years
  • Unilateral Stroke
  • Within 12 months post-injury
  • Demonstration of hemiparesis (e.g. motor dysfunction in lower limb) 
  •  “stiff-legged” gait pattern
