To compare functional outcomes of the traditional mechanical knee versus the microprocessor knee (C-leg) in transfemoral amputees. The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago is looking for people with unilateral dysvascular amputations (amputations due to circulation problems) who are home ambulator amputees to participate in this study about the effect of microprocessor knees on community mobility.
To use combinations of multi-modal sensory feedback (especially tactile) and traditional vestibular rehabilitation to retrain individuals suffering balance disorders as a result of traumatic brain injury.
