To determine the factors that are associated with successful clinical use of the Ekso Bionics powered exoskeleton system for ambulation by persons with in the rehabilitation setting. This system consists of a brace (exoskeleton) which extends from the torso to the feet with battery-powered motorized hinges that produce joint motion at the hips and knees, and is capable of producing powered walking. Subjects will be trained to use the exoskeleton to balance and simulate walking.
To determine the long-term outcome of patients who have multiple limb amputations following purpura fulminans.
To track the long-term consequences of SCI, the national database involves gathering information from participants’ medical charts and a follow-up interview at one year post-injury, then every five years.
