Dance for Motor Learning in Children with Cerebral Palsy

Objective

We hypothesize that postural feedback of reduced dimension will enhance motor learning in children with CP. We focus our study on children with spastic diplegic and hemiplegic CP. Having the needs of children with CP in mind: A) we selected canonical movements of classical ballet for the motor tasks; B) we include music to guide the tempo of the task; and C) we provide virtual reality (VR) images for continuous feedback on performance.
