Safety and Efficacy of Upper limb Myoelectric Custom Orthosis in Individuals with upper-limb impairments requiring bracing

Objective

This is a study designed for users who have been custom fit with their own MyoPro or fit by the certified orthotist for the universal MyoPro device to determine safety and efficacy.

Who Can Participate
  • Adults over 18 years.
  • Upper limb impairment caused by any neuromuscular diagnosis (e.g. stroke,ALS, MS, SCI, TBI, etc).
  • Able to support weight of the device which is approximately 1 pound.
  • No fixed upper limb contractures on affected side.
  • Ability to read and comprehend the English language.
  • Fitted with myoelectric custom limb orthosis at least two weeks earlier as part of their clinical care OR able to be properly fit into the universal fit myoelectic limb orthosis as determined by the research staff certified orthotist
