A non-dimensional normative database of Oxygen Consumption for evaluating performance of patients with gait deficits.

Objective

Establish a representative normative database of oxygen consumption during walking that can be used to contrast the walking gait performance of patients with walking gait deficits.

To validate a non-dimensional normalization scheme for oxygen utilization data used in other clinical centers assessing oxygen consumption for pediatric populations with gait deficits.

Who Can Participate

 Inclusion Criteria:

  • No history of any neuro-musculo-skeletal or cardio-pulmonary deficits that affect walking gait
  • Between 5 and 55 years of age

 

EXCLUSION CRITERIA

  • Pregnancy
  • Any neuro-musculo-skeltal or cardio-pulmonary deficits
