T1. IDEA - Institute for Design Engineering Applications
The RRTC together with the Institute for Design Engineering Application will pursue a number of engineering and design projects in the areas of universal design and rehabilitation technology. T2. Universal Design Partnership with Archeworks, Inc
Working with the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), Archeworks will dedicate two years of project work focusing on design, design enhancements and testing of products for stroke patients using universal design principles. In addition, students with a disability will be recruited for enrollment in the design program to work on the design, prototyping, and testing of the products. T3. Stroke Prevention for Adolescents and Young Adults in Spanish Speaking Communities
The objective of this training program is to develop a computer-based training program directed specifically to Spanish speaking adolescents and young adults that will educate them about the warning signs, symptoms, and risk factors for stroke.
