A typical setup for assessing lower limb cortical excitability during walking

Transcranial magnetic stimulation is being applied to the lower limb motor cortex via a double cone coil suspended over and fixed to the top of the subject’s head. Data are being recorded on a computer housed in the instrument cart on the left.
