Overview
Why is this activity needed?
Outcome measurement consultation provides a mechanism to serve organizations of consumers, service providers, payers, policy makers and researchers who have outcome measurement needs. RRTC staff will consult with organizations to delineate problems in monitoring rehabilitation quality and outcomes, identify measures to address their needs, and develop action plans to improve the outcomes monitoring system.
How will this study help patients and rehabilitation stakeholders?
RRTC staff will help organizations define their issues in monitoring program quality and outcome. They can lend their expertise to organizations seeking advice on selection of measures that are appropriate for measuring rehabilitation outcomes. RRTC staff will lend their expertise in suggesting ways organizations can help their members implement quality improvement plans.
What are the project objectives?
The objectives of this activity are:
- To help organizations delineate problems in monitoring rehabilitation quality and outcomes
- To identify measures to address other researcher's needs
- To develop action plans to improve the outcomes monitoring system
How will the project objectives be achieved?
Technical assistance will be provided throughout the 5 years of this RRTC. Staff will lend their expertise to organizations seeking advice on the selection of measures that are appropriate for measuring rehabilitation outcomes, statistical analysis of outcomes data, and presentation of quality improvement data to rehabilitation stakeholders.
