Meet our Current Fellow, Allan Kozlowski, Ph.D.
Allan Kozlowski comes to us from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada where he completed his Ph.D. studies in Rehabilitation Sciences in 2010. Allan entered the field of physical therapy in 1991 and has always had interest in outcome measurement. Research interests include exploring aspects of the process of promoting the use of standardized outcome measurement in clinical practice. The use of non-linear growth curve methodology to model outcome may provide more meaningful information to clinicians to aid in clinical decision-making. Providing this information to clinicians more immediately may facilitate adoption of measurement practices. Allan is also interested in how key stakeholders including clinicians and administrators, but particularly patients, understand the concept of outcome.
Future goals include conducting subsequent studies to develop tools to assist clinicians with clinical decision-making based on their outcome data and to facilitate adoption of outcome measurement processes and integration with routine clinical practice.
