Pediatric Rehabilitation Quality Outcomes
Nothing is more precious than your child or more important than rehabilitation quality outcomes. We understand that, and have created an environment that will make your son or daughter feel safe, comfortable and secure.
At The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), our world-class pediatric specialists treat the whole child, taking into consideration his or her interests and goals. To ensure the best possible rehabilitation quality outcomes, we involve the entire family and work one-on-one with our young patients to make every day a day of progress and empowerment.
Whether your son or daughter is living with cerebral palsy, chronic pain, a spinal cord injury or any other condition, our approach to pediatric rehabilitation means delivering quality care. We know how to do just that, since we treat more young patients than any other specialty hospital in the Midwest and discharge 90% of pediatric inpatients to their own homes — a quality outcome of which we are extremely proud.
Our innovative developmental approach uses games and sports to help children strengthen muscles, build confidence and improve cognitive skills. And to further improve rehabilitation outcomes, we lead in the development of cutting-edge treatment therapies and innovative technologies like the Pediatric Lokomat®, a robot-assisted walking treatment.
We also employ teachers to keep students up-to-date on their studies, and we work one-on-one with schools to ensure a smooth transition back to school. In fact, we even track your child's care long after inpatient treatment has been completed.
