Physician Fellowships
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) in conjunction with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine offers two to three physician fellowships each year which are open to any clinical subspecialty training.
The goal of our fellowship program is to train the physiatrist to become an expert and outstanding physician in their subspecialty area, to teach them the necessary tools to do research in this area and to eventually become leaders in the field of physiatry. RIC is unsurpassed in the clinical services it offers, its research programs and as an educational institution.
We are currently offering fellowships in the following clinical subspecialty areas:
Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation
Multidisciplinary Pain Management
Pediatric Rehabilitation
Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation
Spine and Sports Rehabilitation

- Sports Medicine/Musculoskeletal Fellowship - September 1, 2011
- Pediatric Rehabilitation Fellowship - August 1, 2011
- Chronic Pain Management Fellowship - August 31, 2011
- Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship - August 1, 2011
- Traumatic Brain Injury Fellowship - October 31, 2011
