Benefits & Compensation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) recognizes that just as there are many facets to one's life, there are many facets to compensation. That's why we are proud to offer employees an extensive array of benefits that are designed to provide peace of mind, create long-term security, support professional development, contribute to life balance and well-being and encourage long-term employment.
These benefits add significantly to the value of an employee's total compensation and we encourage prospective and current employees to consider them carefully when assessing options. What's more, the economic value of these benefits will likely grow substantially over time.
Please note that eligibility criteria for benefits may vary, so please speak with a human resources representative for more details.

Health Insurance
Employees may choose from PPO and HMO plans offered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Aetna Inc., two of the largest and most trusted insurance providers in the country. These plans are available for employees and their dependents on a pre-tax basis.
Dental Insurance
RIC offers the choice of plans through Blue Cross and Blue Shield and First Commonwealth. As with health insurance, dental insurance is available for employees and their families on a pre-tax basis.

Long-Term Disability
Provided at no cost to employees, the RIC long-term disability policy provides a financial benefit should the employee become disabled.

Employees may invest up to $15,500 or 20% of their annual income, whichever is less, on a pre-tax basis by participating in RIC's 403(b) plan offered through vendors such as TIAA-CREF, Diversified, and Merrill Lynch. Investment options and withdrawal details vary by plan.
