Caring for Kids School Year Programs

Caring for Kids School Year Programs offers a variety of recreational, social and sports activities from September through June. During the school season, Caring for Kids has 2-3 Saturday programs each month generally focused on a sport or physical activity. Besides weekends, Caring for Kids may also be held on Chicago Public School holidays.

  • Indoor Sports
  • Theater and Museums

 

Therapeutic Horseback Riding

Caring for Kids, in conjunction with Equestrian Connection, offers therapeutic horseback riding and hippotherapy. Therapeutic riding helps improve core balance, posture, flexibiltiy, and self-confidence. This program is held one weekday a month from October through March based on Chicago Public School Holidays. The Caring for Kids Summer Camp also participates in therapeutic horseback riding in July and August.

How to register?

Registering for Caring for Kids programs is easy! Simply follow the directions for enrolling into the Caring for Kids Program (this page will open in a separate window) or found in the Registration panel to the right. Once enrollment into the Caring for Kids program is complete, youth will be able to register to participate in the summer camp and other Caring for Kids programs offered.
