Directions to the RIC Flagship Hospital

The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) has over 30 locations throughout Chicago. The RIC flagship hospital is located in the Streeterville neighborhood of downtown Chicago. It is accessible by car, taxi, and public transportation.

Driving Directions to RIC

RIC's flagship hospital is located by the Northwestern Downtown Chicago campus in the Streeterville neighborhood. It is accessible from Lake Shore Drive, Michigan Avenue, and driving from the north, south, and west. View a map of the of the RIC flagship hospital location.

Mass Transit Directions

Bus/Train Directions to RIC

RIC is in close proximity to Michigan Avenue bus routes, the Red Line (EL) "Grand" Stop, and other public transportation routes. Airport Directions

Directions from the Airports

Taxis, airport shuttles and public transportation are available from both O'Hare International Airport and Midway Airport. Ticket agents are available at both airports and can assist you with transportation options.

  • At O'Hare Airport, ticket agents are located in baggage claim areas of Terminals #1, #2, #3, and outside U.S. Customs in Terminal #5.
  • At Midway Airport, ticket agents are located across from the Southwest Airlines ticket counter.

Parking Information

Visitors who drive to the flagship in Chicago can take advantage of RIC's subsidized valet service or park at one of the nearby parking structures. Please note: RIC Academy course participants are ineligible to receive RIC parking validation. Parking information for RIC Academy course participants is listed below under "RIC Academy"

Parking Garage Rates - Self-Park

Visitors and patients have two self-park options:

  1. 321 East Erie Street, Chicago, IL 60611
    Cost: $10 per day with validation for RIC patients and visitors
  2. 222 East Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60611
    Cost: $10 per day with validation for RIC patients and visitors

Valet Parking Serice

Valet Service

RIC offers patients and guests who visit the flagship hospital a valet parking service.

Cost: Patients and visitors $11; people with disabilities $2

RIC Academy Parking

Parking - RIC Academy

Parking validation and valet parking are not available to RIC Academy course participants. If you are driving to RIC, there are several pay lots/parking structures in the surrounding area. The average charge is approximately $33.00/day*. Street parking is metered and very limited. The RIC Academy recommends taking advantage of early-bird special rates. Two self-park options:
