Prosthetics & Orthotics Clinical Center

Each person who comes to RIC for a prosthetic or orthotic device is an individual with unique circumstances, needs, and desires to lead a full and rewarding life – to make a difference. Whether you need a prosthetic leg that can support you in everyday tasks or you need a device to take you to the heights of a competitive Paralympic sport, RIC technicians will custom-build a device that fits your needs and your body.

At RIC, we are committed to selecting the combination of materials, technology, and fitting techniques that is most appropriate for you, given your current condition, strength, range of motion, activity level, and lifestyle. People from across the country and confronting a broad range of conditions come to RIC for prosthetic and orthotic devices. Because of this, our staff members are in a position to develop the best device for you.

With the location of RIC's Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinical Center at the flagship hospital downtown, it is possible that your doctor, therapist or therapists, and prosthetist will all be in the same building. Our professionals work in close collaboration with your doctors and therapists to ensure that your device meets your needs and that you receive the proper therapy to use it to its fullest potential.

All RIC Prosthetics & Orthotics clinicians are certified in prosthetics and orthotics and many are also certified to fit products that require specialized training.
