Weekly Women's Peer Support Group

The Women With Disabilities Center (WWDC) offers one weekly support group for women with disabilities to discuss personal issues or problems that they may be facing.  Because social isolation is a major concern for disabled women, establishing and maintaining relationships is a keenly felt need. The support group provides a welcoming and caring environment in which one can escape a sometimes-solitary life and build lasting friendships on an ongoing basis.

The Women’s Peer Support Group meets at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) every Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

For more information, please contact Carrie Kaufman, Peer Support Coordinator at 312-640-2100.
