What is the RIC-Wounded Heroes Foundation Military Adaptive Sports Camp?
Join the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the RIC Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Sports Program in conjunction with the U.S. Paralympics in a celebration of sport! The camp will provide service men and women a hands-on opportunity to learn about and try different Paralympic sports, and to expand thier resources to live a healthy, active lifestyle that embodies the "Amazing Awaits " spirit.
The camp is offered in two phases in order to accommodate a wider variety of disabilities and sports.
Phase I is targeted for servicemen and women with traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and blind/visual impairment.
Phase II is targeted for servicemen and women with spinal cord injury, amputation, and les autres.

Who is eligible to attend?
All former and current service members with one of the following disabilities: spinal cord injury, amputee, traumatic brain injury, blind/visually impaired. All participants must be independent with their activities of daily living. Anyone interested in participating is required to complete a registration form. How much will it cost?
There will be little or no cost for those who attend: lodging, meals, and all activities will be provided during the camp and for participants who may be traveling to Chicago, there are transportation funds available upon request. Contact Jenny DiLaura at 312-238-5010.
