Description:

RIC's Center for Health and Fitness is collaborating with the University of Illinois at Chicago (opens in new window) and the National Center on Accessibility (opens in new window)  for the development and operation of a national information and resource center on physical activity for individuals with disabilities.

NCPAD Mission

The mission of the National Center of Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) is to promote substantial health benefits that can be gained from participating in regular physical activity. NCPAD's slogan is "Exercise for EVERY body ," and every person can gain some health benefit from being more physically active. NCPAD provides information and resources that can enable people with disabilities to become as physically active as they choose to be.

NCPAD Exercise Videos

NCPAD offers a variety of exercise videos that are available for purchase through RIC Sports or NCPAD. The collection includes:

  • Exercise Program for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries: Paraplegia
  • Exercise Program for Individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries: Tetraplegia
  • Exercise Program for Stroke Survivors (Coming Soon)
