Glenn Paustian

Director, Allied Health, Sports and Fitness

I am so proud to be associated with the RIC Sports and Fitness Programs. My sons and I have participated in Caring for Kids SCUBA diving trip in the Florida Keys. My wife and I love to spend time with our family and often do so in Door County, Wisconsin. We like to snow ski, water ski, backpack, kayak, camp year round, run marathons and SCUBA dive. We also have season tickets to Northwestern Football and Basketball games. Go CATS! Started at RIC the second time in July, 1999.

Patrick Byrne

Golf Instructor and Sled Hockey Coach

I enjoy playing sled hockey and golf and visiting Ireland. Started at RIC: 2004

Jennifer DiLaura

Caring for Kids and Paralympic Services Coordinator

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Masters in Therapeutic Recreation. When I am not at work, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, watching the Hawkeyes and going cycling or kayacking. Started at RIC: April, 2008

Pam Ferris

Fitness Specialist

I have a Health/Fitness Specialist degree from East Carolina University, where I played volleyball. My interests include playing and coaching volleyball, watching my favorite team (go Bulls!), and hanging out with my friends and family.

Raquel Gonzales

Fitness Specialist

I have a BS in Kinesiology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My hobbies and interests include: sports and outdoor activities, running, sketching, playing the guitar, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Started at RIC: August, 2005

Stephanie Kanter

Manager of Sports and Recreation

When I am not busy behind the scenes of the Sports and Fitness Programs, I enjoy running after my daughter, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling. Started at RIC: April, 2005

Heidi Majerczak

Caring for Kids Program Assistant

I have a B.S. in Recreation with an emphasis in Recreational Therapy from Arizona State University .  I have worked at RIC in many different areas such as T-Rec, Injury Prevention and most recently the Caring for Kids Program.  I enjoy swimming, running, hanging out with family and friends. Helping out with the Caring for Kids Program has been a great experience! Started at RIC: October 1998

Carolyn Mueller

Manager of Fitness Services

I have a MS in Kinesiology, Nutrition and Physical Activity, from James Madison University, VA and a BS in Exercise Science from Pfeiffer University, NC, where I played soccer.  I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  My interests include running, playing soccer, being outdoors,  and spending time with friends and family. Started at RIC: September 2008

Caring for Kids Program Specialist

I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation.  My interests include sports, being outdoors, water skiing, swimming and spending time with family and friends.

Trent Thenhaus

Adaptive Sports and Recreation Coordinator

I have a BA in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Northern Iowa. My passion is coaching adapted sports and I hope to coach in a Paralympic Games. I like to spending time with friends and family, participating in sports, and traveling.
