Personal Traning

Why use a personal trainer?

Personal Fitness Training at the RIC Galvin Health and Fitness Center offers clients a measure of expertise not available in a self-directed program.

Our staff of exercise physiologists will establish a baseline fitness level and design an Individual Exercise Prescription to help you acheive your goals - such as losing weight, training for a sports competition, or increasing overall strength.

And, if getting excited about exercise is a challenge, working with a personal trainer provides the structure, guidance, and one-on-one attention to help you stay motivated!

How do I get started?

Getting started with a personal trainer is as easy as making a phone call to 312-238-5001 to schedule an assessment: all participants are required to attend a two-part assessment in order to continue with personal training. The assessment includes:

  • One 45-minute consultation to determine your base-line fitness level and to talk about your fitness goals; and
  • One, 45-minute exercise session.

Do I have to be a member of the RIC Galvin Health and Fitness Center to sign up for a personal trainer?

No. You do not have to be a member of the Galvin Health and Fitness Center in order to participate in the personal training program. However, a membership is required if you wish to use the fitness center outside of the personal training appointments. Click here to learn more about becoming a member. How much does it cost?

Assessment $60.00
Individual Session $45.00
Five Session Package (save $10) $212.50
Ten Session Package (save $50) $400.00

Please see the Personal Traning brochure for information regarding our appointment cancellation policy.
