Disorders of joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, bones and nerves (musculoskeletal system). These may include bone fractures, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hip and knee replacement, joint instability from ligament injury and tendon repair.
A disease marked by reduced bone density that may lead to increased risk of fractures. Osteoporosis often affects postmenopausal women and the elderly.
An approach to medical therapy that may follow an inpatient hospital stay or may be prescribed by a physician. Outpatient includes (but is not limited to) physical therapy, occupational therapy and pain management.
