RIC Announces New Board Member
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago announced the appointment of Susan Barclay, director of strategic partnerships and business development at Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, Inc., to the RIC Board of Directors. As a board member, she will lend her leadership and support to RIC's vision to restore function, return abilities and, ultimately, enhance the quality of lives for people with disabilities.
Susan has been a member of the RIC Associate Board, a group of emerging civic and business leaders who volunteer and raise funds and awareness for RIC, since 1997, and she served as Associate Board president in 2004.
"It's been a privilege to serve on the Associate Board of the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago for the past 11 years, and I am thrilled and honored to continue to support RIC's powerful mission to help restore people to a meaningful quality of life as a member of the RIC governing board," Barclay said. "RIC impacts so many lives through it's clinical excellence, research discoveries and community programs. I am proud to be a part of this organization and help make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities."
RIC has been ranked the #1 Rehabilitation Hospital in America by U.S. News & World Report every year since 1991 and is known for its quality care and innovative research programs in the areas of neural engineering, bionic medicine and robotics.
